I love this noodle place. Everything is so delicious and authentic. Reasonably priced too. Very clean dinning area and fast service. I will definitely come back to try more of their dishes. Wonderful addition to the Millbrae area.

In a world of overly salted, heavy dishes that leave you dehydrated like the mojave desert, Jinweide saves the day w/ their tastefully seasoned, umptuous noodles & chili oil at the ready. Scrambled Egg & Chive Noodles 8/10: noodles were perfect, chives weren't too overwhelming. Eggs had great texture (a bite to it but also spongey like they do in the Chinese diners) but just a bit salty. Traditional Noodles (Flat) 10/10: Great taste; hugged my soul. Accoutrements were a wonderful addition. Cucumbers, tea egg, peanuts. Service was prompt & helpful. No complaints. Came in on Wednesday 7PM & there were only two tables including us which was great for our attention. Sleeper spot

The traditional hand pulled noodles with beef in this casual restaurant are delicious and fresh. You can see them hand pull after your order. Another must try is the pan fried buns. 3 for around $9. Service was fast and efficient.

Their noodles definitely had a perfect amount of QQ chewiness, marbled beef slices were excellent and the radish slices were perfect complements. Everything was so appetizing-ly plated in flavorful clear broth. I didn't know there was such a good hand pulled noodle store here, and would come here a lot if they were closer to South Bay! Fast and super courteous service!

No wait on a Friday at 5 PM. Interior was clean and inviting. Service was prompt and very friendly. We both ordered the braised beef noodles off the QR code on the table. I added a stewed egg, which was a cold tea egg that came separately (still tasty). The garlic cucumbers came first. I'm used to a more tangy cucumber salad with smaller cucumbers, but this was straight garlic. It still provided a nice, refreshing balance for our noodles. The braised beef noodles were delicious, with thick hand-pulled noodles that were perfectly cooked, and a savory but light broth that was made even better with lots of chili oil. We would definitely come back!

I've always passed by this place but never tried. So we finally gave it a try and it was very satisfying! If you like spicy, then this spot is definitely for you! I asked for mild spicy and this bowl had me sweating but everything was delicious from the broth to the fresh noodles and beef

Back when I used to spend a lot more time in Millbrae, I always thought the Asian food options around Broadway were pretty decent. Not amazing, but certainly not bad either. Coming back to the area now, though, it seems like the options have gotten more interesting, albeit somewhat redundant. In the years since, several of the places I used to frequent have come and gone with several being replaced by one of the many Chinese noodle joints that have opened up. Not that I mind, to be clear - who doesn't love a good bowl of noodle soup? Especially when it's of the hand pulled variety! Taking over 100% Healthy Dessert's old spot (which really wasn't 100% healthy...), Jinweide Lanzhou is far busier than its predecessor ever was. Not only that, it's one of the busier restaurants around downtown. It's easy to see why, though - the menu here may not be the most extensive, but it's interesting. While the hand pulled noodles are clearly the thing to get, several of the noodle soups they come in, as well as their dumplings, buns, and a bunch of their starters/sides (lamb skewers, lamb chops, pork ribs) looked awesome! -- TRADITIONAL HAND PULLED NOODLES...$12.98 It looked kind of generic, but this was great. The noodles had a very nice bite and I liked how the slices of beef weren't super lean nor overly fatty. As for the soup, it was flavorful yet light and not all that oily. Solid. -- BRAISED BEEF NOODLE SOUP...$15.98 Similar to the Hand Pulled Noodles, but way better! The noodles were just as terrific, and I loved how tender the beef was, but the broth was my favorite part of this - not all that salty and loaded with flavor, thanks to all of the chili oil. -- PAN FRIED BUNS...$8.98 Honestly, we didn't care much for these at all. I'm not sure what the bigger issue was - the filling or the bun. The former tasted okay, but it lacked juiciness; the latter was soft, but was very bready and was sprinkled with salt. -- STEWED PORK RIBS NOODLE SOUP...$14.98 Ehh...not bad, but not great either. The noodles were still just as good and I liked that the soup had a slight kick to it. However, there wasn't much meat on the ribs and they didn't taste like much. Stick with either of the beef noodles. -- LAMB SKEWERS...$7.98 Pretty decent overall. While I wish the lamb had been bit meatier, each chunk was juicy, super moist, and really well seasoned. I also love how there wasn't any gaminess to the meat, but I do wish it the lamb had some char on it. Along with how solid the food is, the other thing that I liked about Jinweide Lanzhou is how convenient it is. Each time I've been here, parking has been a breeze, they've always had seating immediately available, and dishes have come out relatively fast. Plus, the workers have been friendly and quite attentive, whether it be with refilling our drinks or getting us extra bowls so we could share food before we even had a chance to ask. Given how there are so many hand pulled noodle places around these days, I can't say how this place stacks up to the others. However, what I've tried so far has been pretty satisfying, save for the pan fried buns, and I'd still like to try a few other things, like their other varieties of noodles, their beef ribs, and their pork and cabbage dumplings, which were sold out the last time I was here. So, while I'd probably look to try some of those other spots first, I'll probably be back at some point or another to try more of what Jinweide Lanzhou has to offer.

The interior is nice and clean, and it was quite popular when we went! You order off a QR code on the menu, and they serve the food super quickly. The beef tongue was an amazing appetizer. Similar to the traditional beef slices, it's paired with some tendons and other spicy ingredients. I really enjoyed the noodles as well. They were not too thick, and had just the right amount flavor. You can't go wrong here!

Still a very solid place to get lanzhou hand-pulled noodles! This time we came around 7:45pm on a Friday and the place was totally packed. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. They should definitely implement a wait list or something to make it easier. We ordered the traditional noodles and liangpi and shared them both. Great portions for sharing between 2 people and I left feeling full and happy. I also love the flavor of the broth here, it reminds me verrrrry faintly of pho broth and is quite flavorful, more so than Ox 9 in San Mateo. I always get the thick noodles but I saw someone else get thin and they look really good too. Service is never too attentive and especially not this time because there were a lot of people, but the waitress is always very prompt with handing out extra bowls, napkins and scissors for sharing. For the price you definitely won't be disappointed!

Craving noodle soup on a Sunday night and decided to try this place again. I was seated right away, scanned the QR code, ordered and less than 5 minutes later my noodle soup was in front of me. I got the traditional hand pulled noodle soup and it definitely feels like they're giving more food than when they first opened. There were about 10 slices of savory beef and lots of noodles. However, I wish the bowls were bigger and wider. As I continued to eat, the noodles at the bottom got progressively overcooked and slightly mushy so that nice chewy texture at the very beginning slowly disappeared. I also ordered the noodles in regular width but it was pretty thin. If I dine here again I would get thicker noodles so hopefully it won't get soggy as quickly. The cold lemon water was nice though I wish it wasn't in a flimsy plastic cup. The waitress didn't check up on me, which I didn't mind too much since I didn't need anything. All in all, the food delivery speed, beef slices and portion has improved however the noodles itself need to be cooked less or maybe their noodles just get soggy faster. Not entirely sure. Hits the spot but still not a home run like Ox9 is.
